Take a picture of the sun
Take a picture of the sun. Just a picture of the sun, nothing extra or fancy. Please make sure the sun is visible in the photo, we won't accept reflections of the sun or photos where the sun is not visible. Please be careful not to look directly at the sun through your camera's viewfinder; looking directly at the sun could damage your eyes. If you need to, just point the camera towards the sun and shoot the photo.

LTLYM Assignment #6 :Make a poster of shadows

You may take pictures of the shadows or simply trace them. These solid shapes should then be drawn on paper and colored in with a single color. You are not interested in anything but the shadow itself, and you are most interested in shadows that don't look anything like the objects that created them; abstract shapes.. Choose either brown, pink, light green, orange or white. Use only one of these colors. If you would prefer you may cut out the shapes from colored paper. The shadows should appear on the page in a grid formation, in rows. Treat this like a index of shadows rather than a work of abstract art. The finished report should include 10-20 shadows and should be pasted on (or drawn on) white paper of any size (even if, especially if, the color you chose for your shadows was white.) Do not label this poster in any way, except to write your name and the date on the back. My god these are going to be beautiful.

Este primer assignment lo hice mal, no pude seguir simples instrucciones. Muy mal. Tuve que rehacerlo ya que no había respetado el color de las sombras. Usé color celeste. Empecé mal, pero esto no va a desalentarme, al contrario, me dan más ganas de hacer más proyectos.

Learning to love you more

Hace un par de años encontré el sitio Learning to love you more de los artistas Miranda July y Harrell Fletcher. Learning to love you more es a la vez un sitio web y una serie de presentaciones que comprende el trabajo realizado por el público en general en respuesta a las tareas asignadas por los artistas Miranda July y Fletcher Harrell. Yuri Ono diseñó y gestionó el sitio web.

 Los participantes aceptaban una misión, que completaban siguiendo instrucciones simples, pero específicas,  y enviaban el informe requerido (fotografía, texto, video, etc), y su trabajo se publicaba on line. La naturaleza prescriptiva de estas asignaciones pretendía orientar a las personas a través de su propia experiencia.

 Desde 2002 hasta su cierre en 2009, más de 8000 personas participaron en el proyecto. 

Miranda July y Harrell Fletcher hicieron una selección de estos trabajos y editaron el libro (que espero pronto tener en mis manitos muejejeje).

Aunque el proyectó terminó, todavía se pueden ver las 70 tareas y ejemplos de gente que participó. Así que me pareció divertido participar y realizar algunas y/o todas las tareas. Me pareció genial esto de seguir instrucciones y realizar una tarea específica. Es una linda manera de jugar, y eso es lo que estoy buscando.  Aunque te parezca ridículo, encontré un modo de conocerme más y de amarme más. Así que planeo disfrutarlo
